On December 8, 2000, the twentieth anniversary of John Lennon's death, this Lennon statue was unveiled in a park in Havana, Cuba, by Fidel Castro. The casual look of Lennon sitting peacefully on a park bench is much admired by locals and tourists alike: many take a moment to sit next to John while having a photo snapped as a souvenir.
